AÇÃO, PROTAGONISMO E MOVIMENTO SOCIAL NA IGREJA ESPÍRITO SANTO DO CERRADO

Abstract

The work aims at expanding the discussion about the building of the Church “Espírito Santo do Cerrado”, in addition to the discussion based only in its architectural qualities and considering its construction process a social movement. In order to carry out such purpose, the work attempts to connect the church, designed by Lina Bo Bardi, to the political and social context in the years of 1970 and 1980 in Brazil, in the same time, by using philosophical concepts concerning the leading role of the community in the building process.
